Lake Clywedog Dam

One of the most popular attractions in the area is Llyn Clywedog. Only five minutes from the caravan park by car, the lake covers an amazing 615 acres and has the tallest dam in Britain. The Lake offers sailing, canoeing, windsurfing and fishing and is also perfect for walking or just relaxing with a picnic.

Elan Valley

Elan Valley

Part of the Cambrian Mountains, the Elan Estate is a large and unspoilt area of natural beauty. Around 30 minutes’ drive from our caravan park, this area is well worth a visit to see the reservoirs and dams and you watch the water cascading down these beautiful structures.

The Cambrian Mountains

This remote, tranquil area is extremely sparsely populated and was described by writers over past centuries as the “Green Desert of Wales”.

Lying between Snowdonia and The Brecon Beacons, this region around Llanidloes it is mainly a moorland region over 300m high and is one of the most beautiful, colourful and varied landscapes in the UK.

Head to the coast!

If you fancy a change of scene then why not head to the coast? There are some stunning coastal destinations only a short drive from our caravan park.

Ynys Llas, Borth, Aberdovey and Aberystwyth are all under an hour's drive away and are well worth a visit. About 90 minutes away lies ancient Georgian harbour town of Aberaeron, which is a popular choice as is New Quay, which is just a little further south.

Brecon Beacons

Lying directly to the south, the Brecon Beacons is a major draw for tourists – and with good reason. This National Park is renowned as one of the best places in Wales for walking and hiking.

But it is also home to charming market towns, pretty villages and popular events.
